This tournament brings together teams from around the world, uniting cultures and passion for soccer in a festive atmosphere.

**Match Rules**
**1. Match Duration**
- Each match consists of two 25-minute halves, with a 5-minute halftime break. The total match duration is 50 minutes.
**2. Substitution Rules**
- Teams may make rolling substitutions, allowing players to re-enter the game after being subbed off. Each team is allowed up to 4 substitution periods per match, with unlimited substitutions during those 4 periods. Substitutions made during halftime do not count towards the 4 periods.
**3. Referee and Match Fees**
- Referees will be assigned by the tournament organizers. Before kickoff, both teams must submit their official team roster. Teams that fail to submit the official team roster on three separate occasions will be fined $30 CAD per additional occurrence.
**4. Match Ball**
- The official match balls (size 4) will be provided by the organizer.
**5. Match Attendance**
- Teams must arrive 15 minutes before the scheduled start time. A team that fails to appear within 5 minutes of the start time will forfeit the match 0-3.
**6. Minimum Players**
- A team must have at least 7 players at kickoff. However, the match may proceed with a minimum of 5 players. If a team has fewer than 5 players, they will forfeit the match 0-3 and must pay the referee’s fee.
**7. No-Shows and Forfeits**
- Teams that fail to show up for a scheduled match without notifying the organizers at least 6 hours prior (via written notice) will forfeit the match 0-3, pay the referee’s fee, and compensate the opposing team with a $200 CAD travel allowance. Teams forfeiting more than 2 matches may face disqualification with no refund of fees or deposits.
**8. Coed Requirements**
- For all Coed games there must be a minimum of 2 male and 2 female players on the field of play at all times. This requirement does not include the goalkeeper, the goalkeeper is neutral to this requirement. A team may play with just 1 male or 1 female player but must play short (play 6 players instead of 7). If a team is unable to field at least 1 male and 1 female player, the team will forfeit the match..
**Player Equipment**
**1. Uniforms**
- Teams must register at least two sets of different-colored jerseys. Players must wear the registered uniforms in order to play.
**2. Numbered Jerseys**
- All jerseys must have clearly visible numbers. Players must wear the jersey with the number registered to their name on the roster.
**3. Footwear**
- Players are allowed to wear flat-soled shoes, turf shoes, or cleats for artificial grass fields. Metal-studded cleats for natural grass fields are not permitted.
**4. Socks**
- All players must wear socks during the match.
**5. Glasses**
- Players may wear plastic-framed glasses, but they must take responsibility for their own safety.
**6. Jewelry**
- All jewelry, including rings and earrings, must be removed or taped over. The referee has the right to disqualify any player who does not comply. This does not apply to eyeglasses.
**7. Shin Pads**
- Players are required to bring their own shin pads.
**Game Rules and Penalties**
**1. Backpass Rule and Offside**
- Goalkeepers cannot use their hands to collect a ball passed back to them by a teammate. Offside rules do not apply. All other game rules will follow the guidelines established by Canada Soccer.
**2. Suspensions and Yellow/Red Cards**
- The tournament has a suspension system in place. Players who receive yellow or red cards will be listed on the official tournament webpage for teams to verify.
- Players receiving two yellow cards in one game will be suspended for one match. Players receiving a direct red card will face suspension, with the duration decided by the tournament organizers. The team of a red-carded player will be fined $50 CAD from their deposit.
**3. Accumulated Yellow Cards**
- If a player accumulates 4 yellow cards during the tournament, they will be suspended for the next game.
**4. Team Yellow Card Accumulation**
- If a team accumulates 8 yellow cards, each additional yellow card will incur a $30 CAD fine.
**5. Illegal Participation of Suspended Players**
- If a suspended player participates in a match, the team will forfeit that match 0-3.
**6. Unauthorized Promotion**
- Any unauthorized commercial promotion or activity during a match is prohibited. Violating teams may face disqualification from the tournament, and further legal actions could be taken.
**7. Forfeiting Matches**
- If a team wishes to forfeit a match, they must notify the tournament organizers at least two days in advance (e.g., for a match on the 20th, notify by the 18th). If a team fails to notify within this period, they will forfeit the match 0-3, along with an additional $100 CAD administrative fee.
The organizer reserves the final decision.
